The workshop is the beating heart of Gert Schrijvers Fine Instruments and is based on two important professionals: Samuel & Daan.

Samuel has been our restorer and specialist in the analysis of the acoustic aspects and fine tuning of an instrument since 2005.

Daan has been our fine restorer and specialist in lacquer analysis and fine retouching, and responsible for the rental instruments since 2010.

Gert, coordinator of the workshop, does the rehairing of bows.

At your service

A qualified team is available for all repairs to your instrument.

The studio’s main speciality is sound analysis and the optimisation of sound quality. You are welcome for a free analysis of your instrument.

ABOUT US

Gert Schrijvers was trained in the French violin making tradition and worked in Parisian workshops for many years. In 1992, he settled in Belgium as a restorer of fine stringed instruments. Not only is he a skilled trader he is also an internationally acclaimed expert in quality instruments.
